The first weekend of the new season has just passed. Yes it was the 4th game of the season but no team (apart from Man United) were complete or even to their best. Winners in this summers transfer window must be the previously mentioned Manchester United. Getting all their deals done early gave the team time to gel before the season started, and the players they have bought in are of real quality. Other winners in the Transfer window must be Liverpool and Stoke.
For me the losers must be Everton, Arsenal and maybe Tottenham. Its not the Spurs had a particularly bad window they just promised so much more at the start getting linked to world class players, big positive for them keeping Modric but for £40million maybe they could have replaced and more.
Players will now have to quickly become part of teams as its important part of the season. Liverpool now need to turn around a defeat against Stoke in a game they dominated and players like Coates and Bellamy may be a big part of that. Arsenal need to improve and players they have signed need to be disciplined, and Everton need to make sure they can survive and being taken apart at the end of the window.
The season has started with a bang and promises to be a massive season, these new signings can surely only improve this season and the competiveness.
